Sirus

sirus1

We are very happy with Sirus. He is very friendly to people that come inside the house and protective at the same time. He is so playful and finally coming out of his teething stage! He is very kid friendly. We get so many complements on how beautiful he is. We take him just about everywhere we go. He loves to go bye-bye!!! We are very happy with him and so glad we got him.

Thank you so much,
Scott and Carrie

Digger

Digger

I have to admit I had some concerns when we first took Digger home - we've never really had such a high energy dog before - but they've pretty much all been put aside now. His training is getting to the point where we can use the hand signals or the voice commands now for sit and stay and he's responding well to commands outside!

We recently had a really bad bout with some windy weather and it pushed down one of our fences. The first time we let him out - we were unaware that the fence was down. He knows where his yard is and he doesn't go over to the neighbors for a visit. He did go over to investigate the fallen fence, but other than that - he has no interest in wandering.

He also has decided that his ultimate goal in life is to cuddle with us at night on the couch or beds. The other night he discovered he can snuggle under the covers and get warm. He's also discovered that if he wants in or out of a room - he can turn the door knobs. I haven't quite figured that out yet.

But I should go and feed him - he's giving me that look. I'll be sure to send along some photos for your book soon!

Jaret

P.S.
Maybe it's him who has us trained to his satisfaction now??

Heidi

heidi3

Here are some pics of Heidi and her soccer balls...she LOVES them. We have yet to meet anybody who can outplay her in soccer...she goes bonkers for ping pong, even going so far as to jump ON the ping pong table to get the ball (we go through a whole lotta ping pong balls with her around) We are so happy with Heidi, she is the perfect dog!

Hunter

Hunter1Hunter arrived home a few days before Christmas and I was surprised to discover that he was already almost completely house trained. He is now a little more than 3 months and he is very intelligent and intuitive. He is such a handsome little guy, I can't say enough about him. Hunter is the perfect dog for a child. My son, Alex, is 10, and he gives up his computer and video games to play fetch with his new friend. We call it "chase," because Hunter often prefers to keep the ball rather than return it. He already walks with a dignified gait, and it's hillarious to watch him jog away like a prince, ball in mouth. Hunter is ecstatic when Alex gets home from school, and follows him wherever he goes. My favourite trick that Hunter has learned so far is his ability to play soccer. No one believes it until they have seen it, but when we kick one of Hunter's balls back and forth, he will use his front paws to steal it away! He then handles the ball between his front paws. I know that this is related to his hunting skills, and it is amazing to watch.

Hunter2Hunter has only barked twice, and then only when he felt threatened by a menacing cat. When he hears an unusual noise, especially in the middle of the night, he sits up, very alert, ears erect, and listens. If he's still not sure what is making the noise, he goes to investigate.

Of course, Hunter is still a puppy, so there have been clean-ups and some crying, and a lot of chewing, but he's a baby, and with the proper care, training and supervision, he is growing (I am thrilled to see how much he's grown at the end of each week) into a very handsome little guy.

Ilsa

ilsawally

Hi Donna,

It Shari here, just thought I'd email you with an update on how little (or not so little) Ilsa is doing.

She's growing in leaps and bounds, and she's bounding and leaping her way into EVERYBODIES hearts. Both neighbours absolutely adore her. She has the softest personality I've every seen in all my years of living with dogs. Her personality is so different from a Rottie's, a Bouvier's or a Min-pin cross (ie Wally). Of course it could also be that she is the first little girl I've had the priveledge of getting to know. Whatever the case is, she's my sweetie.

As far as training goes... let's just say that she's sharp as a whip. She's stubborn, but once you've shown her who's boss... she never forgets the command. We're having some trouble with the "stay", as her attention span is that of a gnat. I'm sure with time, she'll mature and it'll be easier to keep her mind on the task at hand. She's still all legs, and quite gangly, so tripping and face-planting occurs often - and often in front of people. Affectionately, we call her "goofus". Her and Wally are the best of friends, with Wally still controlling the game. I'm not sure if that will change as her size allows her more power, but right now, Wally at 9.5lbs, can "take her down" (and I thinks she's at 18lbs, give or take a couple). It's actually quite funny to watch. Wally will take a flying leap at her, grab her by the scruff and down she goes. When she get's too rough, he finds a small space that she can't go, and hides until she forgets what she was doing.

We're are so happy with her. We love her so much and she has become part of the family. Actually, she was part of the family from the first day that I saw her, but now, I couldn't imagine our house without her. I've included some pictures of her and the Wally-dude.

Cleo

Cleo

May I present Tri Pinscher's Cleo. She was born on May the 27th,2002. Cleo is very intelligent, she sparkles. Interested in everything, aware of everything, a very good watch dog.

She loves going for long walks, and be with us whenever possible. She is a joy to own. I can highly recommend a German Pinscher to anyone who has the time and love to spend with the dog, obedience training is recommended.

Boxter

Boxter2

People do not believe that I am a first time dog owner due to the fact that Boxster is so well behaved.

This is a credit to his intelligence, he is a quick learner and also has taught me well.

I highly recommend the breed (including to families based on how well Boxster and his dad, Kaos have interacted with children.

Regards,
Brian K

Cinnamon

We just wanted to drop you a few lines letting you know how we love our "little red girl" Cinnamon. We have enjoyed her company since July 13, 2001 and she has given us a number of laughs 'Our Little Queen of the Hill". Cin is not only loving, but is extremely intelligent and adores our two grandsons.

This is the first min pin we have owned and we weren't really sure what we were getting into. Donna, has been a great help with our questions on the raising and care of our Cin. We both feel, that this breed of dog, is an excellent choice for any family, who loves dogs.

Our other miss of the house, Lady, a black lab would be lost without her, as you know both Judy and myself would be.

We have had many compliments about our miniature pincher and have given our friends your Tri-Pincher e-mail address and explained that Donna really knows her dogs!
